Hey Scott we also need to add that users should not hot link images from other sites. If you need to add images you can upload them to your own webspace or attach them via the manage attachments button.

I think I got most everyone in on the PM but in case I didn't I'll add it here as well.

When posting deals please make sure you are adding something to the deal other than just a link. At the very least we should be adding pricing info, shipping info, mail in rebate links (if applicable with exp) a product description and/or specifications.

If a deal is a daily deal, 24 hr, weekend only sale ect and its not on one of the normal daily deal sites (woot, 1saleaday, shnoop) please make sure to add that into the posting.

If there is a coupon added or coupon code we need the applicable info as well as exp date or number of redemptions.

If a deal is in-store only, online only (for stores with both), available only to residents of a certain state or whatever make sure to add that info as well.

Basically just try to add as much relevant information to a deal as possible.

Hey Scott hope this is ok but I just noticed it does not specifically say this in the forum rules and we've had a few issues with it lately so I wanted to add it here

We ask that members place their posts in the forum which is best suited for their topic of discussion. If a member places a post in the incorrect forum for the subject matter, said post or thread (a string of posts inside a topic title) will be moved by a moderator to the most appropriate forum for the subject matter.

To aid in search compatibility and make deals generally easier to find please make the title of your topic descriptive as to its relevant content.

This should go without saying but Deals that are free belong in the Free Stuff Forum
Other off topic discussion should be placed in the Talk Forum

Quick reminder. If you can buy an item for less money through our price search engine at a reputable mainstream dealer, then it is probably not a hot deal.

What exactly do you want to receive? Posts on the forum or deals that meet certain criteria that are posted on the main page?

Hi all , i just noticed there is flood of post in the forum by 1 user ... like 50 post a day .
is it fair for others ??
its easy calculation for him 50 post=500 easy points and some of 50 will go to hot deals page thats bonus .
my question is this good for forum ?? we changed to point system to avoid this .

Yes the new program is intended to be about the quality of content and higher quality posts rather than the quantity, Its also about promoting more user interaction. But everyone is still invited to post as many good quality deals as they want. Just keep in mind the goal is good high quality deals and under the new program you actually get more points for having a better deal than someone posting a bunch of not so great deals.
