Fat is a necessary part of any diet - particularly essential fatty acids (EFA). EFAs provide the basic the basic building blocks of the various cells in the body and play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of body tissues.

Because the body cannot produce essential fatty acids, they must be supplied in the diet. EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) are omega-3 fatty acids naturally derived from fish. EPA helps to support circulatory system health. DHA is found in the eye and brain membranes, it plays an important role for vision and brain function and is vital for healthy heart function.

Each serving of Preventive Nutrition Premium Omega supplies 400 mg of EPA and 200 mg of DHA.

This product is regularly tested (using AOAC international protocols) for potency and purity by and independent, FDA registered laboratory and found to be free of detectable levels of mercury, cadmium, lead and PCB's.

Default Why!

Why does GNC always claim that the products they sell are efficacious to any degree?
The only possible affect from fish oil is maybe a 3 mmHg decrease in systolic presure. This wouldn't be close to theraputic in someone who is hypertensive. It would be even less helpfull to someone that is normotensive. There exists no conclusive data, reports, or studies suggesting that anyone should take these products. If anyone reads this entry, I beg you to be very critical as to what GNC has to say about YOUR health. This company is in long standing with bad practice.
