The 1198 shares design elements with its predecessor 1098, but has more power and torque, redesigned wheels, lighter headlights, traction control, a few minor paint changes. One carryover from its 998 heritage is the distinctive single-sided swingarm.
The Ducati 1198 Superbike is the flagship Ducati sportbike within the Italian motorcycle manufacturer’s model lineup. Introduced for the 2009 model year, the 1198 is the successor to the Ducati 1098 Superbike which was produced 2007 and 2008.
The Ducati 1198S cranks out 170 horsepower, ten more than its 1098 predecessor and it's a tad bit lighter as well.
