They just opened a new store here less than 3 months ago. They actually moved into a really expensive looking new building. I knew they would not close that one. I am not sure if closing would be good or bad for me. May be bad in the long run as we only have one.

I wonder how good the deals will be? Last time I got in on a store liquidation the masses bought up a bunch of junk that wasn't marked down very far. The prices I saw didn't look like anything I'd consider paying for a good sale, let alone liquidation price.

Default Circuit City Stores, Inc. to Liquidate

Circuit City Stores, Inc. announced today that it will seek Bankruptcy Court approval to begin the process to liquidate the assets of the company.

We should watch for some great deals at their stores.

I watched a story on liquidatiosn a few moths back. Liquidation sales are a scam. some company comes in and marks stuff up and then takes the discounts off of that. Sometimes the prices are higher than normal. I cant say that I will never shop at a liquidation sale again but I will look at the prices very carefully. After posting and reading deals all the time, I find I am very good with knowing and remembering prices.
