Default homepage filter options modificaiton request

How about some filter options for the main page deals, like those we already have for the forums from which they are harvested, except deal-centric and a bit more complex?

Some logic values such as with or without, maybe some fuzzy values such as exactly or something close, and of course the keyword(s) field to enter for display of only what we're looking for and/or things we're definitely not looking for would be a nice addition in my opinion.

Then I could see only XBOX 360 deals, or 1080p plasma deals, or 1080p's but without DLP, or ...

Hmm well as you may know, the only thing we know about the deal is its title. So, any filter options would have to be based on keywords in the title. Right now, the search engine is all inclusive but it tries to match on relevancy. Searching for 1080p plasma returns deals with both 1080p and plasma in the title first, followed by those with just 1080p, etc.

Also one thing to note about the search algo: if you enter only one keyword, results are sorted chronologically, which can help find active/non-expired deals.

Do we have the ability to insert logical operators in our search? Attempts with usual methods of inserting such operators seems to be a no. The ability to insert logical operators would be great for me, though less savvy users would not be so inclined to use them. I do like the title only search as thread contents can be off topic or otherwise irrelevant to most search needs, not to mention huge engine overhead reduction.

Once this crazy holiday season is over the huge mass of deals out there will diminish eventually, so such a function may not be as useful then. The search does currently work well for me...but the mass of deals lately popped the idea that a filter could benefit my time getting through such huge results more effectively.

What I love most is the NOT operator capability to either remove or end-list results with said NOT values.
