I ordered a PCI sata card for my computer from dealextreme, and my experience with them was completely negative.

First, the card arrived packaged in another product's box. The box had a picture of a PCI card, and listed stats for it, but it wasn't the same as the one that was actually inside the box.

Second, the card was dead on arrival. It didn't work, at all.

Third, one of the chips on the card was visibly damaged.

I tried using dealextreme's online form for defective merchandise and it simply does not work. You hit submit and nothing happens, your browser will say 'loading' or whatever, but no new page ever loads, the screen never changes. I tried submitting it with different browsers (opera, firefox, and IE) and even used different computers. The results were the same.

So after a couple days of that I used their general customer support contact page. That actually worked and I was able to post my issue. But, their customer support is of absolutely no help. They keep giving me a constant run around. They refer me to the broken page, assuring me it works now. I try it, it doesn't work, and I report that to them. Then they ask me some details about my order again, after I've already submitted them all. So I go ahead and relist my issues. Then they refer me to the broken page again... And so on. This has been going on for over a week, and I'm no closer to returning my defective product than when I started.

So, yes, they have cheap prices. But it's a gamble, you might just be throwing your money away.

Agreed, and why I haven't ordered anything expensive or otherwise capable of a high likelihood of failure. Though there are some tempting items...

Only problem is you have to order mid-summer to be guaranteed that it will arrive by Dec 25th. They are a bit slow, but if you have time to wait, why not . . .
Stocking stuffers indeed! That AK2 was so sweet I have to try the TopToy now. There are a lot good items for the low priced gift shopping there soon to head my way...better order soon, though.
