Interestingly enough, it doesn't really surprise me too much. The number of what I would call "excellent deals" from ClubIT was drying up in recent weeks, which can be a precursory indicator of something about to happen.
I'm with you though it doesn't really seem all that surprising. I'd notice a lot of slow down as you said with their "hot deals" and even with their site. Several times over the last couple weeks I had slow page loads and other issues.
NAOC said the capital infusion will allow PC Club and its two e-commerce sites, PCClub.com and ClubIT.com, to remain open for business as usual, and to honor all customer and vendor relationships and agreements.
After reorganizing the business, NAOC said it will set its sites on growing the chain, which will join other Chinese-tied investments in building a "leading home computer appliance conglomerate."
I just noticed the same thing yesterday, I also notice they have very, very limited stock. I wonder if the company that bought them is just selling of the remaining stock or if they are actually going to keep the company open?
