Default Min character limit for search terms

Hey, I can't search for things like PSP, Wii, PS2, PS3 because I have to enter a minimum of four characters in all search string terms. Rasberries! ppppppppp

Add a wildcard modifier. For example, try searching for "PSP*".

You don't think this might dissuade some new users from sticking around, do you? Not being able to search for terms and not knowing this trick as a new user may frustrate one away. Not all of us started in DOS...and even though I did I still missed it, twice! (probably has something to do with squishing my brain)

It doesn't work with two-character terms, such as MX, XP, ST, DS...it seems to not like two wildcards.
Quote:
The search term you specified (*mx*) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
