The screen does not have touch though, and obviously is also not a convertible 2-in1.

In the same boat. Thinking I'm sticking the the HP...better processor and going in to tablet mode is huge plus for flying.
Lol I'm in same boat. Got the X360 gold from BB for $350 earlier and it's defective. Trying to setup and D and E keys don't work. I had doubt about HP quality too but the system felt solid if a bit heavy. I hope this cheaper Asus will be better.
