Cheapest 1TB TLC NVMe drive I can find at the moment is $130 for the HP ex920. Edit: (DRAM-less) WD Blue SN550 is $120
Edit: I hadn't seen the front page (DRAM-less) WD Blue SN550 1TB deal for $100 yesterday, but point stands IMO, and I would pay a premium to avoid a DRAM-less drive.
and that's aside from the asininity of your statement that either of the ssds you mentioned are in any way, shape or form 'ghetto'

It was cheaper a few months ago, but currently it's slightly cheaper than other models.
But these are just middling SSDs. Their 5-year warranty is nice, but I'd prefer the Crucial MX500 or WD Blue.
However considering they experience in the semiconductor filed, plus it's just low end SSDs anyways, I wouldn't worry much unless they really cheaped out lol
With that being said, I got a 1TB Gold last month, not much usage yet but so far so good. Amazon didn't want to adjust the price for me so I ordered one at $85 to do some DIY price adjustment
Yea if you're stuck on sata, this is a fine drive. Price is kinda steep, so pretty much ONLY for people stuck on sata.
Only the 1TB has good speed, the smaller ones are less than half the throughput.
Even ghettoer nvme ssds like the sx8200/ ex950 , they are approximately twice as fast as this drive for $15 more. Keep that in mind when buying.

Really, only $15 more, that sounds great. Mind sharing where you're getting that from? The 8200 is currently $149 (Amazon,1tb), which by my peasant math skills is about $65 more expensive. Looking forward to your link for where it's currently $100..
