Thread: Maxtor 60 gb Hard Drive.. Free?!?

Well mine finally came today. But a weird story, they called me after I ordered it to see if i still wanted it, and I said naw I changed my mind so I asked them to cancel my order. Well then a couple of days later I noticed they charged my cc and my order status said shipped. So I figured they forgot to cancel it, so i decided to keep the order. Well I emailed them to see why it hasnt arrived and they told me that I cancelled the order. I replied in the email that my cc has been charged already and still waiting a reply from them, but my harddrive arrived today! I think staples is a bit confused. But if they credit my account do you think i should keep the harddrive?

just tell them they billied the credit card even after you canceled the order. dont tell them you got the drive. maybe youll get it for free

Yeah thats what Ive done so far. Another question i should consider is should I try to get the rebates or not... I Think that may be pushing it.

On staples website my order is not in stock but i got mine. Had to call them 5 times to get a date on when it will be shipped. First response was 2 days second was Nov. 27 third was Dec. 2. Finally got my HD. I wonder if they will send me 2 more by accident! Oh man that would rule all!:D

I got mine yesterday. They of course, took out any & all coupon codes.

Blasted thing is on sale next week for $89 at Staples too.

Two of the $20 rebates were the same on the web site. Better check them to make sure. MIne is going back to the store.

My $30 and $20 have been validated. The other $20 is just hanging there. Let us see. Parago has become super fast nowadays.

It's $70 at Target INC online. Staples accepts price matches so you can use that.

FWIW, I just got the third of the rebates validated, so all $70 in rebates have been approved. Just took a phone call for the two that included only the copy of the UPC. Ended up getting the HD for $4 or so in tax. Sweet!!
