Given, somewhat expensive.

But this is actually a well known name brand rather than most of the generic/knockoff garbage that gets pushed on SD

Just a tad pricey. I don't know what they did to hit the $100 mark. They would have sold millions at $50... but then it probably won't have all the certifications... if that's important to you.

With that said this is the largest discount I've seen since it was released. We finally ordered one this morning.

Very reputable company for temp reading devices.

I use the thermapen in the kitchen and it's top notch.

$3.99 shipping. There was a 10% popup with email but the mail just doesn't come. Not sure if it'd even work in this item.

Edit: Indeed, the code came but it's useless.

why are you people paying $75 for this? No touch thermometers, like the ones used at airports are available for $10 directly shipped from China. If you need something ultraaccurate or something maybe $20, if you want it faster ebay it for $30.

Got any links to good ones? Most I found were junk in that price range.

I have learned that you generally get what you pay for with thermometers. Even though the mechanisms themselves are cheap, a well-calibrated, accurate device costs money to produce. Even with old school oral/rectal probe thermometers, the name brand is usually faster and more reliable than the cheap-o store brand, so it's better to pay $10-15 instead of $5. Forehead temperature-taking is hard to get right; touchless makes it harder. Thermoworks is a reputable brand with an in-house NIST certified calibration lab. I trust that this actually works.

Even though this deal went against some of my deal philosophies, I bought one.
I mean, I need to pay for shipping, coupon doesn't stack with discounted price, cheaper ones cost up to 75% less! The craziness!

I've been looking for a no-touch thermometer and waffling over a few that were even around $50 to get a reasonably good one but even those were suspect in reliability.

I agree this is one of those times where you get what you pay for and heck with my deal philosophies, suck it up, pay more and buy a reliable one.

So, this is the WAND that Trevor Noah was referring to, the Jedi WAND. Lol. Sorry, it's a inside joke. Carry on.

I don't mean to be rude, but you've been living under a rock. Welcome back.

I'm in for one. Seems like a solid product to have, in general. I had sort of been interested in getting one, so this deal made it a little easier.
