I've been watching the prices on this one, and it was a good discount before today... now it's nearly half the price of any other retailer with the bundled extras.
Based on the reviews you should look out for missing extras from the advertised "kit" and some defective units.
I've been watching this one also. Good deal. I ordered one.$189 most other places. Reviews seem to vary a lot depending on where they're written. Feel pretty confident with Costco return policy that if I have issues a return will be easy.
Bought for family member's Birthday a few weeks back...I found minimal reviews other than Costco and BB&B so thought I'd share my experiences.
* This pierces the top of the k-cup with 5-6 locations and supposedly douses the coffee grinds with water better than traditional single needle
* Three shortcut/memory settings for household users (or multiple preferences)
* This is a very unique shaped Keurig, best I can describe it is like the "s-block" shape from Tetris (it is narrow and deep) - https://qph.fs.quoracdn.net/main-...f89d7000aa
* The water storage is the easiest I have ever experienced to lift (handle faces you, easy to grab). If you typically fill while still attached, this sits further back than the cup portion of the machine and might be a bit awkward
* Three settings for brew strength and temperature (I only had a few cups with the unit but I would swear it wasn't as hot as I liked (I like it as hot as possible and the commercial units were always my favorite but probably fine for most)
* The control buttons while nice are so flat depending on your individual height, you might need to lean forward to see each button press…speaking of, the newer models (this one and the newer unit with the frother) tend to have a lot more button presses than older models (again, at least this one has memory settings)
* I too read about flaky units but so far this unit is running fine (at minimum, easy returns at Costco if needed).
*Great assortment of add-ons - water filters, myk-cup (add your own grounds vs k-cups)
* At 99 bucks, I believe this is a better unit than the outgoing elite model but I would dare say this is a bit extreme styling for some folks on the design compared to "traditional/past" units

Hope this helps, enjoy your coffee!
I was also noted in the letter that I will have another opportunity to get another $20 gift card if I do another survey 6 months from now.
That is $40 in total of gift cards with this $99 coffee machine. Worth it.
Yes. At my warehouse it is.
