This is the lowest price I've seen for these new from Amazon, and half of what they are at Home Depot. They are out of stock but can be ordered now for delivery in February.

These are perfect for impact drivers, compact drills, routers, and oscillating tools where the added weight and bulk of bigger batteries can be a hindrance.

This is a good price for new/sealed. You can get three 2.0Ah batteries with fuel gauge and the subcompact kit (drill/driver, impact driver, rapid charger) for $199.99 at Home Depot. You should be able to recoup at least $100 selling the tools which is a lower net price but more leg work.

Regardless good price and I always appreciate seeing the makita deals on here

Not a good price for 2.0 Ah. The 5.0 Ah was available for $53 less than a month ago, and couple of times after that. I posted it on SD.

In my area the subcompact tools don't sell for that much because there are so many of them (maybe from people doing what you mentioned). Your tip is definitely worth considering if someone is willing to do the legwork.

This is a good price for 2ah if you want the smaller/lighter battery form factor. I agree that if you want the best value in dollars per amp hour, go for bigger batteries.

I use tools professionally, so the form factor is worth it to me and I didn't want to pay $80 at Home Depot.

If you follow this deal, you can get 2x 5.0 Ah batteries for less $95, i.e. $47.50 apiece.
