January 30, 2021 update: expired. Price now up to $219.99

This is the same deal that was posted in September 2020, except that one got 5% off with Discover Card. This one uses a standard 5% discount code: RM5

$179.99 - $8.99 (using RM5 discount code) + no tax + free shipping = $171.00

I have been looking for a good deal on a scooter. IMO, the best Slickdeals on scooters from the last month have been the $200 Walmart Bird refurb (I ordered one of those, but the electrics actually started burning when I turned it on) and the Amazon $550 Segway Ninebot Max G30P. That was an amazing deal, but >$500 is a hard sell for me.

This little Gotrax GXL v2 is not a great scooter, but it's not a bad scooter either. Here's a thorough review from escooterguide: https://electric-scooter.guide/re...v2-review/

A big con is that you only get 30 days of warranty. Pretty good price though. Tempting.

Seems like a good scooter and price to venture in at lower price. But some refurbs look to be totally beat up based on some reviews. Not sure I want to take the chance.

The G30P deal was great, and only available for a few hours. I was looking for an extra scooter for weekend cruising, but I couldn't pull the trigger at the time since it was almost 3X more than the $200 Walmart Bird I had picked up. But now, after spending a few weeks scouring craigslist and FB marketplace, the G30P at $550 was really good.

This was available for $178 new from Walmart (they call it the G2 instead of V2, but it is the same model). Price is up now, but like all things will probably fluctuate. Was a Christmas present for one of my teens. This is the only real powered scooter we have owned, so I can't give any comparisons. It is comfortable and seems well built. Takes a long time to fully charge. The promised range and speed are accurate on flat ground. On the negative side, we had a couple strange Error displays that went away, but were concerning. We have a lot of steep hills, and you can really tell the difference in it's power going up hill.

I'm scooterless, but saw that deal when live. Even though an awesome price, I couldn't justify spending the $$ given my house isn't really in a scooter friendly location. The Bird deal would have been perfect.

It seems that the GoTrax GXL V2 and the GoTrax G2 are different models. This GXL V2 has 8.5" tires compared to 6.5" tires; 250w motor compared to 200w; and 9-12 mile ranged (probably 9) compared to the G2's 7 mile.

Got 2 of the bird deals and had to return them as the 3rd party refurbishing companies refurbished using cheap parts. Aftermarket dashboard, throttle sticking, and bad brake sensor
