The blockbuster phenomenon that charts an amazing journey of the mind while revolutionizing our concept of memory

An instant bestseller that is poised to become a classic, Moonwalking with Einstein recounts Joshua Foer's yearlong quest to improve his memory under the tutelage of top "mental athletes." He draws on cutting-edge research, a surprising cultural history of remembering, and venerable tricks of the mentalist's trade to transform our understanding of human memory. From the United States Memory Championship to deep within the author's own mind, this is an electrifying work of journalism that reminds us that, in every way that matters, we are the sum of our memories.

TLDR: Imagine a big house in your head, and imagine walking through it. Put things you want to memorize in separate rooms, on specific shelves, in nooks and crannies etc. to improve your memorization of these things.
I can't remember if I read this book or not...
it's a good book but the techniques I thought were not necessarily for every day life but a specific set of circumstances. good read nonetheless. for this price is buy it just to have to re read

They're useful for language learning I'd say.

I read the book many years ago. It's very good and the writing is engaging. For the non readers, there are many YouTube videos and documentaries about the subject. Worth checking out

Why would you want to remember everything? I'm close. And it's a curse.

While it is instructional, he tells the story of his journey to apply these techniques. It's a cool story even if you don't want to memorize 1000 digits of Pi.
