The successor is just around the corner, supposedly coming out on March 31st based on a listing at Bestbuy Canada, priced at around $249. Biggest difference looks to be the higher resolution, which should capture video from head to toe.

Do you have a link regarding this info? I figured a replacement was coming soon.
I have had this before Amazon bought over Ring. Service was excellent then but now there seems to be a lag in the videos. Don't forget the $30 yearly fees for the service.
FYI: It has a small internal rechargeable battery that needs to be replaced every a couple of years. I heard that a class action is being prepared for it. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Ring...ent/119125
*** BUYERS BEWARE: DHCameras sells counterfeit Ring Devices ***
3/12/2021 11:59:32 AM
I recently ordered a Ring Pro doorbell from DHcameras (still being sold as of March 12 2021), which was listed as brand new. Several questions submitted by users requesting confirmation as to whether the units are in fact "brand new" and not used or refurbished, were all answered "yes", "new and sealed in the box".
What I received however, was *not* new, though the seller/supplier went through a lot of trouble to fool buyers into believing otherwise: It's carefully packaged and sealed in a convincing, albeit counterfeit "Ring" box, complete with counterfeit printed materials. I uploaded supporting pics in the item reviews so others are alerted to the scam (see "Ring Video Doorbell Pro with HD Video" sold by DHcameras).
Unfortunately NewEgg doesn't provide a way to upload photos in "Seller" reviews, otherwise I would have posted them here as well… :/
