their last 40% off sale these were around $25 each iirc
not sure how a 2pk of 2ah batteries is $90
but if you need 4 batteries not a bad deal.
Exactly. I bought 3 of the 2ah at 24.99 when shipping was free over the holidays. This is a good deal on nice compact, light, and power-dense batteries that perform well. Note that they do get warm with continuous use in tools where the 4ah stay cool, so I expect their lifespan will be shorter if used in continuous duty applications (vacuum, heat gun, soldering iron, glue gun, etc) because they have fewer cells and see high amperages under use. They don't seem to be low resistance cells like the HP batteries, but I've not confirmed that. Anyhow, a good deal if you need four of them.
I know DTO deals get shilled, but it looks like ~$50 can net you two 2.0Ah batteries almost anytime on the marketplaces. At $97 for four I think I'd hold out unless you have a reason to want that many 2.0ah batteries (like you don't use Ryobi 18V tools, just flashlights) as I'm sure at some point HD will have better bundle pricing
Can't speak for anyone else, but I have eight Ryobi One tools and multiple 2AH and 4AH batteries, and with the exception of the shop vac, I find myself reaching for the 2AH every time.
The 4AH makes most of the hand tools too heavy and unwieldy for me. The vacuum, not so much.

YMMV!
If the 8-oz difference makes the tool too heavy for you, you may want to consider getting a man to help you.
