I just got these a few weeks ago. Apparently there's a little more room for your arms/hands and slightly improved build quality, but I can't say first hand. These are made in China while elites in the USA, so I'd get elites for that reason alone but beggars can't be choosers.

The reason Dumbbell Buddy is so cheap is their Elite EXP version is made in China. Take that for what you want. Powerblock's Elite EXP is made in USA. Not really sure what the benefit of the Sport model in this posting is.

Either way, I think this post is more of a stock alert than a deal. These are getting easier to find in stock, but are still OOS more often than not.

I'm not sure where you are getting your information from. On the dumbbellbuddy website:

Manufacturer: PowerBlock
Manufacturer Part No: PowerBlock Elite EXP 50
UPC: 181381000244

Both the part number and the UPC matches the PowerBlock website for their Made in USA set (https://powerblock.com/product/elite-series/). I don't see anywhere a Elite set that's made in China

I bought the amazon models the EXP's that were on SD a while back. I need the stage 2 kit and these stage 2 kit look identical to the EXP's anyone know if they are compatible?

The two models are different. If you look up the listing for the USA Elite expansion sets, they say "Not compatible with Elite EXP model". The USA Elite has "MADE IN USA" stamped on the plates, while the Elite EXP does not. The Elite EXP version is exclusive to their retailers like Amazon, Dick's, and Dumbbell Buddy. Not surprising that they don't advertise that they're made in China, but you can look up any eBay listing of the Elite EXP model and find one with pictures of the box, and they'll say "Produced in PRC" (People's Republic of China).
