I dont want to post the deal, I cant handle the stress, but I thought it was pretty ok for a saw with a folding stand.

Factory blemished, extra 20% off, came to 200$ with shipping and tax.

Feel free to delete and mock me for overpaying if I am mistaken, or post it yourself and bathe in community adulation if I am right.

Peace

QA Note: Total before shipping and tax is $183.99

This only has one miter slot and the fence on these saws leaves a lot to be desired. It's the one Ryobi tool I have that I wish I would have saved more and got a better table saw.

I wish the RIDGID 10 In. Pro table saw was available. I'm new to woodworking and heard that one is pretty decent. Would you agree compared to this one?

Yes, I would agree. I've heard good things about the Ridgid saw as well.

I'm pretty sure Tools Direct (eBay) is not the same as Direct Tools Outlet. I could be wrong but with DTO, if you buy a factory blemished product, you can still register it with Rigid and get the lifetime warranty. If I could get the same warranty with Tools Direct, I'd buy it!

Single miter slot would be a deal killer for me. But if that wasn't enough to put me off this saw, the one and two star reviews are plentiful and brutal on HD website. Most complain of very poor build quality, the single miter slot, and the non-standard slot size of that one slot combined with a very poor quality miter gauge included in the kit. Of course since the slot is non-standard you can't easily replace the original gauge with one of better quality without milling down the new gauge.

I have been keeping my eye out for a portable saw, but this is not the saw I'm looking for. Especially after using a good quality cabinet saw in my shop for years, I'm sure I would be very frustrated with this Ryobi.

27 in rip capacity and stand with wheels is very hard to beat sad this price. Too bad the cons are also big.

Would I be better off with a harbor freight saw? Im just needing something for some light around the house repairs.

There are alot of tools you can cheap out on, unfortunately a table saw is not one of them. I guarantee you will regret buying this saw.

Horrible fence that is impossible to keep square. Blade runout will be off right out of the box and will be extremely difficult to get aligned straight and keep that way. There is only 1 miter slot, on the right side for some reason, and the miter slot has tabs sticking out from the side. This means you can't substitute another miter bar(standard size is 3/4x3/8) because they won't fit. The stock miter bar wobbles in the slot too so good luck making anything close to a precise cut.

All this adds up to not only a substandard product but one that can be extremely unsafe to use. Do yourself a favor, save an extra $100 and buy a lower end dewalt or ridgid. Or scope out Facebook market for a quality used saw.

I had a similar Craftsman saw for many years and finally sold it. These are fine for rough carpentry but even then I think you are usually better off with a handheld circular saw.. You will have a lot of trouble making furniture or boxes or any type of finish-grade work because this saw cannot be squared to the extent even a cheap DeWalt can, because:
- the fence is not going to be accurate
- the miter tracks have tab tops that prevent you from using any kind of sled.

Either step up to a better table saw or consider using a handheld circular saw. Seriously, I've become surprised and even shocked at how capable they are. Plenty of YouTube's out there on getting more mileage than you ever thought possible from a circular saw.
