I dont want to post the deal, I cant handle the stress, but I thought it was pretty ok for a saw with a folding stand.
Factory blemished, extra 20% off, came to 200$ with shipping and tax.

I wish the RIDGID 10 In. Pro table saw was available. I'm new to woodworking and heard that one is pretty decent. Would you agree compared to this one?
Yes, I would agree. I've heard good things about the Ridgid saw as well.
Actually it looks like you can get the Ridgid from Direct Tools on ebay with stand for $240

I appreciate that but I'm looking for the model with the rolling cart
That's on sale for them today for $300.

I'm pretty sure Tools Direct (eBay) is not the same as Direct Tools Outlet. I could be wrong but with DTO, if you buy a factory blemished product, you can still register it with Rigid and get the lifetime warranty. If I could get the same warranty with Tools Direct, I'd buy it!

I have been keeping my eye out for a portable saw, but this is not the saw I'm looking for. Especially after using a good quality cabinet saw in my shop for years, I'm sure I would be very frustrated with this Ryobi.

Horrible fence that is impossible to keep square. Blade runout will be off right out of the box and will be extremely difficult to get aligned straight and keep that way. There is only 1 miter slot, on the right side for some reason, and the miter slot has tabs sticking out from the side. This means you can't substitute another miter bar(standard size is 3/4x3/8) because they won't fit. The stock miter bar wobbles in the slot too so good luck making anything close to a precise cut.
All this adds up to not only a substandard product but one that can be extremely unsafe to use. Do yourself a favor, save an extra $100 and buy a lower end dewalt or ridgid. Or scope out Facebook market for a quality used saw.
- the fence is not going to be accurate
- the miter tracks have tab tops that prevent you from using any kind of sled.
Either step up to a better table saw or consider using a handheld circular saw. Seriously, I've become surprised and even shocked at how capable they are. Plenty of YouTube's out there on getting more mileage than you ever thought possible from a circular saw.
