Is this a good deal? Mainly looking for something for basic car maintenance and woodworking. Worried about capabilities since it is only 12v

as far as the driver, don't worry, the Fuel Impact is an absolute beast... the drill is good, just not as good. it's certainly strong enough to drill simple holes or use spades, holes saws of a reasonable size it bogs.
no comment on the ratchet, i'm old school... i prefer a swivel head ratchet with a bent handle. aside from a crank bolt, i never use power tools on my cars.

What do you mean by basic car maintenance?

I have the ratchet. It is my most used tool from my M12's as I do a lot of DIY car work. Just came in handy yesterday to remove some alternator studs in my car that were placed in a very hard to reach place. It's a time saver!!

The driver should be ok since this is the Fuel one. I have the non Fuel and I always get that first over my 18V one because of it's weight and ability to fit in tighter spaces. I doubt you will run into any power issues since it's Fuel. Same for the Hammer Drill

HD ran this set as a DOTD a couple weeks ago (after I bought it and while it was in transit to me) for $199. HD would not give me a price match. I tried multiple times. They did give a PM to others. It sold out fairly quickly that day. I was happy with the $229 price until that day LOL

I have these drills and also always grab these over my 18V drill/impact. Drill drivers for some reason have become overlooked vs impacts. a compact 12v drill will get the job done most of the time and also be much friendlier on your ears. I got this set with a 6ah battery (but no ratchet) for $200 last yr.
