I bought this saw about 6 months ago and think I paid $80 for it. Used it for a kitchen backsplash project and later to lay tile in our kitchen and entryway. Also loaned it out to a friend who was working on a tile project. As far as bang for the buck, it's a pretty good saw and does what you need. There are definitely better saws out there, but you're going to be paying a lot more for them. I would recommend it for home DIY projects.
Paid $90 for this a year or so ago and I'm super impressed. I've done two baths, 550 sq ft of large format tile in the master, 450 sq ft large format outside, outdoor kitchen stacked stone, glass subway tile backsplash in herringbone, and around 110 sq ft for a fireplace; super impressed with this little saw. I kept thinking I would buy a bigger one for the next project but never did and I'm going to do another bath and exterior balcony. I will say, large tiles are a bit tough with the small table and lines can wonder a bit but this thing is a champ.
I take it you've never cut tile before? You ain't cutting 3cm granite with this saw.
What would one need to cut half inch ceramic tile? My wife bought hexagonal tile.. really nice looking. The installer ruined every piece. Maybe I can do it lol
Deal seems dead, but if you keep going back to the link and refreshing and adding it to your card eventually you can check out with it. online with shipping purchase only.
When I bought one a couple of weeks ago, I found a Kobalt 7" blade on clearance also. Might be worth checking for one if you're in store...the Kobalt blade is likely better than the blade that comes with it.
Just wanted to say I agree with the other positive comments here. Had one for a few years now and used it on anything from thick glass covered procelain kitchen backsplash to slate for a bathroom and it's served me well. Sure it struggled a bit with the first but it never failed.

That seemed to work. I will wait for a shipping confirm though.
I picked one up yesterday at a Lowe's near me. They had several but were high up top the shelves and had to get assistance to bring it down. $57.58 is a great deal for this. https://brickseek.com/lowes-inven...1000176487

The model # referenced in your comparison review link is incorrect.
It should be model # 3550-02 not 3540-02.
The "7 amp" (3550-02) tile saw is this one: https://smile.amazon.co
The Amazon listing in my post (3540-02) is also a 4.2 amp per product description.
tldr;
The Amazon and Lowes saw are identical, both are 4.2 amp. The "7 amp" (actually 5 amp) saw is an entirely different saw that sells for ~$180.
