Amazon knows about the problem but they don't seem to care. I've been credited several times with a "we'll fix it" - but it's been almost a year so.... My family plan is about to expire - I've had to use Spotify in the interim.
Also they had a "HD" upgrade offer on the bottom of the page. Since free, I took that too. (It is time limited to 2 minutes or so).
