If I don't have pets, would this still be a good vacuum to pick up? I live in a 1k sq foot apt and want something that i can quickly use and not have to plug into every room.

Dyson's are great. I still have a v6 and it is great for my 2 dogs. I have 1400 sf house with all hardwood floors and area rugs. I'm waiting for the v10 absolute to go on sale again because I want the fluffy head with it.

It is a soft roller that cleans hard floors awesome. Not great on carpets but we run it over our rugs and it suffices untill I fell like not being lazy and change the head lol. I also have a eufy stick vac that is nice but does not compare to a dyson.

If you have the ability to up your budget and don't have high-pile carpet/rugs, look into a robot vacuum. I love my Roborock S4 for my 1k sf condo with hard floors and thinner rugs. My Dyson V6 has been relegated to spot cleaning or nooks where the S4 can't get to.

So animal is the same as absolute but doesn't come with the attachment for hard floors? It's not named that way because it's "better" for animal owners, right?

AFAIK, the only difference between one cyclone and another (of the same version) is the heads they come with. The pet one comes with a special head that's good at getting hair out of carpet and the absolute comes with that head and all the attachments.

How long does the battery last? We like to clean our entire 1,200 sf apartment in one day, and I've avoided stick vacuums assuming they wouldn't be able to handle the rigor.
