I wouldn't mind paying 4/$10 but not when they shrunk the size
I liked it, I had to buy 1-2 more bags when they switched to triple shred. But last year my entire 16 bags smelled like dog shit and had fungus (the red ones that's smell like shit and attract flies) so F them this year ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
First time I switched to the color guard Scotts from HD.
the triple shredded stuff rots lot faster too so be advised.
The first few years when they switched over mine never rotted. I am in MI and have a south facing home. Colour quality has gone down though, the first few years it stayed for a year+. Now it just barely survives to the next. Also, the issue I mentioned above I'm not buying this year. Colour and rot can depend on location, unfortunately..
Shrunk the size AND raised the price...it is 5/$10 through today for a 2cu ft bag
Last season, 5 for $10 Scott triple shred lasted till this season. This season I went with Vigoro Premium 5 for $10 but I'd prefer triple shred, looks better.

I dont disagree...however the only way I would buy triple shred is at the 5 for $10( 2 cuft) bag price
It doesnt make enough difference, IMO, looks wise to spend more
I have in past years used 100 bags of the Lowe's $2.00 per bag mulch and I have been very satisfied
I have already put 75 bags down this year
