Looking for a good but inexpensive dehumidifier for my small studio apt which is located in the walk-in basement of a large Victorian house converted to apts that gets pretty humid in summer. Anyone have experience with this brand and/or model? I heard something about a humidity sensor error (code E9) this unit gets quite a lot within the first year. If the humidity sensor goes, does the unit still work?

I bought this unit from Costco last year and I'm not overly impressed by it. You can't run it on a timer because it doesn't auto start. I ended up replacing it with a slightly larger unit that auto starts and it's alot better.

Can't speak to this model, but I bought a Hisense dehumidifier with pump a couple years ago. The pump never worked: the dehumidifier didn't work when I took it out of the garage expecting to put it in my basement for a second summer. Got about 5 months use out of it. If you look at other Hisense "deals" on SD, it seems others have had issues too.
So I bought this for $130 a few weeks ago. Mine makes a rattling-type noise inside when the compressor is running. I contacted doodah and they said to just keep it and refunded me all of my money. It does seem to be working and has a 2 or 3 year warranty from Hisense. It even had a paper inside the box that said if you have issues contact Hisense, not where you purchased from. I'm guessing they've had a lot of issues.
If it's running in your basement far away from you then the noise may not annoy you much, but I can hear mine upstairs (somewhat quietly) through the AC ducts. Just thought Id write in here for the first time, as a warning. I'm also not sure what the noise is for sure. I'm assuming it's harmless...but at the very least maybe it could affect the lifespan of the unit...?
Anyone else have one, what's your experience?

Can you tell me what model you went with? I'm in the market for these features.

Amazon: "hOmeLabs 4,500 Sq. Ft Energy Star Dehumidifier for Extra Large Rooms and Basements (Renewed)". I rolled the dice on the renewed one, and it was brand new/never opened when it arrived 👍
For those unaware, a dehumidifier is the same thing as an air conditioner mechanically, it just doesn't direct the cold air and warm air the same way.
Window AC starts at the same price, so if you're able, you should get that instead. It will dehumidify as it cools and you'll be using the same amount of energy.

I paid with PayPal on their site from this listing.
Edit: never mind. I ordered from the opensky link someone posted.
How? I'm only getting a Google pay and credit card options.
