The Redline has been around for years with good reviews. This appears to be identical but half the price. I do not own either one, but from the description concerning brew temperature and optional pre-infusion, it should make great drip coffee.
I see one other Redline clone branded "Erkovia" at $80, but it lacks the pre-infusion feature. I agree with OP this is a good deal.

Reviews seem to indicate to buy an aftermarket warranty....

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice while it lasted. Didn't last long.
Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2020Worked for about 6 months and then stopped brewing. Water would just sit in the tank. Not the type of brand you can find any troubleshooting online for.
The SCAA (coffee standards industry group) [scaa.org] sets best practices values for temperature for water (very hot), length of drip etc. for best possible drip coffee quality. The expensive models like Technivorm are certified to meet these standards. These cheaper ones claim to meet the same standards (and probably do) but do not pay for certification. In addition, it has "pre-infusion" which can improve taste if you have freshly roasted coffee. Pre-infusion means it can optionally drip a bit of hot water...then pause for a bit to let gasses be released, then start again.
Just as important to some....it looks like a Technivorm so coffee snobs will think you have good taste.
This is a great deal for a brewer that probably meets SCAA standards...but no info on reliability. However, it is probably identical to the Redline, and there are good reliability reviews on that one. So, I disagree with the Slickdeals' jury on this one. Looks like a nice price to me.

Thanks for the explanation!
As was said before, the pre-infusion feature is also a plus which I make use of.
If you don't like the coffeemaker, it is easily returned through Amazon, though I doubt that you'll want to.
