Hey, slickdealers, if you purchase and love at a premium price, Vanity Fair Everyday napkins, TWO ply, please read this.
On two occasions, I've purchased 300 count pkgs of VFair, marked on the package, two ply napkins, and have only one ply napkins!
Contacted Vanity Fair after I noticed the napkins were one ply, purchased at Walmart. They said: No way! We always make two ply napkins.I offered to send back the two pkgs. No need. We'll send you a discount coupon. Great.

I got a discount coupon. Took it to Walmart where I bought the other two 300 ct. pkgs and purchased, yet another. Yep! ONE PLY. Four months later, stocked on the shelf. Package was even torn at the edge probably by a shopper with my same complaint. She left it. I bought it. One ply!
I've contacted Vanity Fair AGAIN. We shall see what they say. Sounds like consumer fraud to me and I've threatened them with it.
Would really like to hear if any other purchasers of Vanity Fair two ply Everyday napkins have experienced the same. It's fraud. One ply, paying for two ply premium napkins!

I cannot imagine them making one-ply on purpose. It isn't like they just flip a switch once in a while to try to sneak some in.

Best guess is a situation that one of the plys' rollers runs out and they should immediately stop the presses, but they let some through in error, or out of laziness. I've seen printing presses running and they need intervention because they don't stop when the roll of blank paper runs out. Someone has to feed in the new roll just before that happens. IDK if this is similar for sure, but they need to get to the bottom of it.

Someone isn't doing a good job with QC. Good looking out.
