I have the 3070 version of this and it already gets super hot, can't imagine squeezing any significant gains out of a 3080 with this form factor and cooling system. Otherwise, it's a pretty nice portable powerhouse.

I imagine they gave it thumbs down because of the price. People that cant afford it and prefer to just be negative. Anyway I'm actually going to return my G14 with a 3060 in and for the G15 with a 3080. The 3060 gpu doesn't handle 4k via hdmi that great from what I'm seeing. Every so often you will hear an electrical popping sound and also the screen will go black but instantly comes back on. Sometimes it blinks a couple times too. The way I see it those problems will likely increase over time. I could go with the 3070 model but would rather have a model that is less likely to have gpu problems in 4k. The 3070 might be fine but not willing to risk it with that too. Jmpov from experience The g14 model is basically the same other than the laptop is white and obviously only comes with a 3060.
