Got this a week ago and and having problems. It wakes up from sleep when the mouse moves. Set the 'Power Management' in the Device Manager so it wouldn't happen but it still does. One little bump into my desk while the laptop is sleeping and it wakes up. Deal breaker. Also, this doesn't come with NumberPad 2.0. Also, go into the Power Settings and over ½ the options are missing. Got a replacement and exactly the same thing. ASUS customer service no help, thought it was a hardware problem, hence the replaceement.

For advanced power settings, you can look up how to modify registry keys that will enable them. Each manufacturer specifies what settings are available to you, but you can force any of them to be available. It doesn't mean they can actually be edited (e.g. you can toggle a max core clock, but the laptop will ignore it because it was never designed to read that specific power setting).

My in-store price shows $499, so you might be able to get cheaper in store!

Stop bumping into your laptop when you're sleeping

While I'm not a big lover of Asus, except for their Motherboards, this seems ok for a 2-in-1.

However, in talking to a WallyMart supervisor in the Electronics Department, the store does not keep a large inventory of laptops, even before CoVid. And, the store associates are mostly trained on TV's and are not prepared to answer questions on laptops. (As I understood her) It might be handy if you have a local store if you need to return, but.....

I did click on the Brickseek link. Thanks. The closest store with any inventory, was.....not close.

5500U is zen 2 with outdated radeon IGP too. 250 nits is bare minimum not actually IPS, same deal with 8GB of ram, and 3.3lbs is heavy for a 2 in 1. And its been $499 in the past. Would pass.

Another so called technical troll. Tell me which AMD APU comes with not outdated RNDA Integrated graphics. And why it's not actually IPS?

Maybe I can read and have comprehension of the industry?
Look at the specs, IPS-level Panel, this means its a VA or TN, but since its rated at 45% NTSC, which is garbage, its a dead give away its a TN panel.

As far as IGP, the 5500U comes with Vega 7 not Vega 8 which can be found on the 5700U and other products, outdated wasnt the right word but Vega 7 (what this has) has less CU's and lower clock speeds than Vega 8 (which the 5700u has).

As I suspected, another techno troll. That IPS-Type has been discussed 1000 times here but you never checked those and came here for showing your smartness. Even the highest end Asus Laptops like Zephyrus G15, Rog Strix series also mentioned this to have IPS-Type whereas every review says that those are IPS? So, as per your analogy, those are also TN or VA Panel, right?
Let me educate you here. The term IPS is a trademark of LG-Philip's technology and patented. Only panel made by them or other OEM which use their technology, can be called IPS. Other manufactures like AU Optronics, Samsung also make IPS Panel using their own implementation, PLS for Samsung and AHVA for AUO. Those are exactly similar to IPS but to avoid patent related issues, laptop vendors use terms like IPS-Type, WVA etc. when they source panels from any other manufacturers than LG Philips.
Now coming to your analogy, why the hell a TN display can be called IPS-Type? Can you explain? And VA Laptop display...there is a single Laptop which is the Dell G5 SE 15 Ryzen edition (2020) where the 144 Hz 300 nits Panel is a VA Panel. No other manufacturers use VA Panel.

And regarding your idiotic analogy about VEGA 7... Are you an idiot? VEGA 7 or 8...all belong to same VEGA architecture. So, what is your analogy that VEGA 7 is outdated but VEGA 8 is not? Ryzen 5500U is a lower tier APU, so it comes with VEGA IGP with less compute core whereas 5700U is a higher tier one and comes with VEGA 8. Is that so hard to understand?

As per your analogy, then Core i5-1135G7 is outdated, right because it has 80 EU based Iris Xe Graphics which is less than the 96 EU in i7-1165G7, despite they are using same Iris Xe architecture. Do you understand how lame you sound?

Keep your comprehensive understanding of Industry to yourself, you're not going to fool anybody with that....

Wait, I just realized that it's your hobby to go to all the Computer deals and post garbage, misleading information without knowing anything and then when countered with proof, post more garbage and start nagging. Aren't you the one who posted in my previous HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop deal with with a Ryzen 5 4600G that the desktop won't work without dedicated RTX 3060 in it.

In that case, it is using N-Trig technology what they are calling MPP or Microsoft Pen Protocol these days.
