Edit, as multiple people seem irked:
2.4Ghz is fine if your router/AP supports it:
this sort of device surely doesn't need high bandwidth of 5Ghz.
but some newer router setups don't even have 2Ghz or have it default off

Is that a problem? I feel that's better as 2.4GHz has longer range than 5GHz and I am not going to stream movie to the outlet....

That's actually better than higher frequencies in this application as 2.4 penetrates walls/etc better.
