Serie O is good but I prefer the Serie V personally. Cigars international has a box of them at 6.50 per.

I'd describe the Serie O as good but not great. I'll take the V or V Melanio any day over the O or G.

Average deal - the Os are fine, but they're pricing these a bit high. Better deal is to wait for the box (10) of Melanio Vs to hit their $56 range which comes up every 3-4 months in past.

Honestly, the Os are fine. Good for an average smoke, golfing, fishing, etc. I've had good ones and some "eh" ones. I call them "chuck ems"

The V Melanio is the cream of the crop! I think it's the best Oliva cigar on the market! Never had a bad one. They are made so well and the draw is wonderful!

It's not a bad price for 10 cigars, but I'd rather purchase just a box of 10 Vs for $75-80 and know I'm getting a good smoke vs taking the chance with the Os.

I used to wait for cigar deals to pop up here. But once I found CBid, haven't looked back. Box of 10 of the Serie V Melanio Robustos are $59. Before Cigar Aficionado made this their 2021 pick of the year, I was able to get them for $43. My favorite cigar. Have yet to experience a bad one.

Also cigar page has the ring gauge wrong. It's a 52, not 50.

I'm in, a good way to check-out the Oliva Serie-V Melanio. The sampler-pack price seems reasonable, as the Serie-O is a Toro vitola (not a Corona or Robusto). I've occasionally seen Melanio Robusto priced at $50'ish/10-pack but add'l S/H would push it at near/above $60.

I was gifted a 10-pack of Serie-V Double Robusto this past winter, which I enjoyed after letting them sit for a bit. I'm not sure if it's the Serie-G or Serie-O that I actually enjoyed (had some Toros, Churchills).

thats very informative. im talking this is 10 melanios in a sealed box with a boveda vs a smash pack gets u 5 loose os and 5 loose melanios..... if u wanna split hairs.."always" = i bought it at that price last year and "regularly" saw it at the same price

For what it's worth, the Serie O (and Gs) benefit greatly from aging a bit. I aged a box of Os for over a year and they were actually awesome to smoke after that.

Well there's a reason these were priced the way they were, as mine arrived today.

Very well packed, with cigar-outfitter stickers. The Serie-O Toros were in a sealed 5-pack package (mazo), but the Serie-V Melanio Robustos were loose in a ziplock (from a dress-box, cabinet, etc).

I assume the 'aficionados' would prefer their premium smokes to be sealed in cellophane, or boxed.

Being a sampler, I'm ok with the loose smokes — assuming they taste & burn without issue.
