Although technically a good price compared to what this was priced at, this is probably the price it should have been at launch to be competitive in the first place. XPS 9310, Thinkpad X1 Carbon, and Macbook M1 are all comparable to this in build quality, battery life, weight, and power, and all 3 can be had for much less than this even at it's sale price.

saw this as well, I've been considering it to pair with my new Razer Core X eGPU. I currently have the 2020 Blade Stealth 13 w/ 10th Gen i7, this would be a decent CPU upgrade but still a little pricey.

What is the CPU wattage on the XPS 9310?

I don't get the appeal.

It's not ultra light.
It doesn't have a good GPU.
It's doesn't have a 4K (or even 1440p) or OLED screen.
It doesn't have tons of RAM or SSD.

What are you paying $1350 for exactly?

I hear you. I guess the reasons are:
1. Fast CPU
2. Thunderbolt 4
3. HDMI port in thin form factor
4. High quality cooling
5. Excellent fit and finish.
6. A 16:10 aspect ratio screen.

Still I think this would be more competitive at about $1000

I'd rather get a Framework laptop for this price. At least if something breaks outside the warranty you won't get stuck with a $800+ bill to repair. Razer doesn't have the best track record for reliability.

The Razer Book 13's keyboard takes some getting used to... actually, I am typing on it now and keys do not always register unless I press really hard, or I tap the exact center of the key.

Otherwise... great laptop. It has a USB A port!

For those who are particular about their keyboards in laptops, avoid this one. The keyboard actuation is odd. The keys can travel and mechanically sound like they actuate if you press on the edges, but a key press will not register. I'm normally a 80-90 WPM typist, who struggled to maintain 50 WPM with all the missed key presses. I had to end up typing extremely heavy, with cause fatigue on longer remote sessions. I returned it within the 30 days.

The LTT Short Circuit review provides a really good visual example of the missed keys.

Weird, I actually really like the keyboard on my 2020 Blade Stealth, key travel is a bit shallow but overall no major issues.

You're buying it for the pleasure of trying to get it serviced after a battery bursting in less than a year.
