Saw this Hart 20V Cordless OR Corded Hedge Trimmer Kit on clearance for $33.60 (original price is $96.00) at my local Walmart. Seems like a slick deal IMO!
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
I hear hart is about the lowest level of power tools available. Anybody have any extended use experience to share?
Made by same company as ryobi so think ryobi-brushed performance, so yeah about the lowest level of power tools available. That being said though, for small diy jobs they will get the job done. For 33 bucks, if I had things to trim I would grab this as it is still a good deal and it would work for me, but you'll never see a landscaper with a hart tool.
I've only used their self-propelled lawn mower and it's been just as good or even better than the Greenworks I had. But the Greenworks is 4-5 years old and a 16" vs self-propelled and 20". I felt it was pretty well made and the price couldn't be beat. Now I can't go back to non self-propelled lol.
Can't speak to their power tools but even Ryobi for me is a hit or miss so if Hart is considered worse, then that's not great. Hart seems to have decent warranty periods and their CS is responsive, however.
Seems like I invested in the wrong system. I went with Ryobi when I should have gone with hart. So many tools on discount and a lot come with batteries maybe ill start buying Hart units

Hart has a long way to go before they catch up to ryobi, not to mention what I think is now 26 years of battery compatibility? If you ever need that 1 tool 1 time to do 1 job, you can always buy a $10 one at goodwill or whatever and know you can use your existing batteries. Not to mention a vastly wider lineup, still no drain snake, nailers, or band saw and that's not even mentioning the specialty tools or whacky stuff ryobi has released

Teardowns show them to be last gen ryobi which isn't a bad thing it's just cost saving and for most people it's good enough. I mean if your house was built before the year 2000-ish hart and ryobi will both be superior to whatever cordless tools were available then so it's not they can't handle a deck, fence, or dog house.

I have a Hart chainsaw. Works great. I've cut about 4 cords of firewood with it. I've seen a number of positive reviewers on YouTube commenting about it as well. I just bought one of these trimmers. To replace a entry level B&D corded trimmer I've been using for 15 years for small jobs around the house. Will be nice to have a cordless one.
Bought some of these for $20 or $25 last fall, can't remember which. I have used only the battery. The first one I opened had a dear charger, but I don't expect that to be common.
