I found the Pit Boss Platinum Laredo 1000 pellet grill on clearance for $300 at Walmart in Macedonia, OH on Sunday 9/26. They had three by the door when I walked in and one more by the other grills. They had one less when I walked out (and I now have a used PB Classic for sale). The price was not updated in their system and required a manager override, but there was no argument because the price was clearly displayed with nothing else around.
YMMV ***in-store only*** Link to Walmart site is for reference and specs only - regular price online

Note, the price was NOT updated in their system, so I wouldn't expect BS to show the clearance price, at least not yet. And of course BS is often inaccurate as far as actual inventory anyway, but if it says a store has 10 of something you might find one.
I didn't need this grill because my Pit Boss Classic still works great but for $300 I couldn't resist the upgrade. This isn't a huge grill, and isn't as big as the popular Austin XL, but it's similar in size to the Classic, 820 and 700, as well as many competing grills, and is plenty big enough for most people.
The features and size are VERY similar to the PB Pro Series 850 that Lowe's sells (also possibly on clearance at some stores). These include a PID controller (highly accurate, for smaller temp swings), ash cleanout, front and side shelves, app control via bluetooth, and an easy open/close flame broil plate. I think the Laredo is superior in a few ways, like the ash cleanout being on the front rather than underneath, the rod-style cooking grid is easier to clean than the diamond style, and it has a built-in light. I'm not knocking the Pro Series though, and would have bought it just as quickly if I had happened across it first.

sounds like they may have put the wrong price sign up if they haven't actually lowered the price in the system

I only upgraded because of the price, wireless control, and PID controller. I'd already added shelves and a sear plate control rod, which PB should have included from the start. Now to take a couple pics and list the old one for sale to recoup half of what was spent tonight, LOL.
