It's been this as a promo for awhile if you hadn't been in store for a bit. Nevertheless a great price if I didn't get the metabo Christmas special last year.

This brad is way better than the Metabo.

I bought the Metabo (I think it was on sale for $49?) And it was horrible. Plastic parts everywhere, and tolerances were way off.

I sent it back, and bought the better version that was more like my 20 year old Hitachi, but it DEFINITELY was nothing like my Hitachi (none of the Metabo's are anywhere near as good as the older Hitachi's, in any tool.)

So while the Makita here isn't an insanely great deal, it is far better than the Metabo 50's... but not as good as the old Hitachi's. 😞😓😩

Now, I'm still waiting for a company to make a good, cordless, electric brad nailer. Every one I tried has been plagued with problems. From the Makita, to the Milwaukee, to the Dewalt, they were all problematic.

I am a Makita fanboy and even I admit that their nail guns are pretty lackluster.

That's why I bought the Milwaukee M18 air compressor. I hate battery nailers, but I needed to be able to go cordless.

Check out the Rigid brad nailer for the same price.

I tried one and was very impressed by it.
