I've had this bag for 2.5 years. I've flown with it probably 10 times, used it at CES and as a daily carry. It still looks new. I have been looking at a smaller bag like the PD Everyday Zip 20L but still love this bag.

Note that you can get them directly from Peak Design refurbished on eBay for a good discount. That's how I got mine and it looked new.

I have the 20L V1 bag, it's terrific for traveling imo. Versatile and great materials.

Dang it, snagged the charcoal earlier this year at the same price because ash wasn't available.

I would grab another one if I had a need for two 30L backpacks :-D

To chime in, like the previous poster said, I've had my V1 charcoal (my favorite) 30L for 4 years now and still looks brand new! The ash is actually pretty clean too, the only noticable marks are on the leather handles (turns glossy with dark stains). The dirtiest color surprisingly is the black bag, set it down and it gets white scuff marks and the aluminum anodizing gets noticably worn away with use (especially noticable on the latch rails).

I adore mine, I have the smaller version but it fits everything I need for a hike or a bike ride. A bigger version for long trips is tempting.
