The review you're referencing mentioned Amazon Warehouse, which is absolutely not the same as Amazon.com. Warehouse sells products that have been returned or refurbished, that sort of thing.

Also keep in mind that third-party sellers are often not authorized dealers, for all kinds of products, which often voids any warranty or support.

I've seen countless posts here at Slickdeals from people that don't understand this, which leads others to confusion.
