The deal was posted 3 months ago and the thread is marked expired. Now it is back and sweeter by $10!

I wasted no time today to grab one and can't wait to share it to here

For some reason I didn't see the shipping option, but I decided to forgive them....

I have this , it's extremely powerful. In fact, there hasn't been anything I couldn't break loose with this thing. It does crank bolts, axle nuts, etc with ease.

As good as this May be, which with a 4Ah battery included it is, their newer one seems to be a Much better tool. Good enough that TTI appears to realize it and discontinued it to not compete with their much more expensive Milwaukee line that it out performs.

I personally think it's worth the extra money, Especially if you can get a hold of an Octane battery to use with it. Check out the torque test youtube channel to see why I'm advocating this one over the

I'm in the Ryobi camp but in the market for a 1/2in impact. This may be better than the $99 Ryobi deal. Off to YouTube I go to find the comparison.

what can't this do that a typical home mechanic could tackle? i'm game for doing anything that I don't need to weld, or pull the engine for.

I have this impact and have used it to pull engines, change axles, and everything in between. The only thing it has not been able to tackle is the crank pully bolt on my Honda Odyssey.

If you have the same battery as in this deal, then maybe an OCTANE battery would give that extra needed oomph. From a 4-star review on HD:

Bought this kit assuming the battery that came with it would live up to the rated torque. Found out later you need an octane battery. It still works great for what I use it for (car suspension work). I'll be on the look out for an octane battery or whatever the next best battery is.

Are you sure the 1000 foot pound model is discontinued? Reason I asked I was waiting on a deal deal but if it truly is being discontinued I'll grab one before they're gone

If you are looking to get the high torque version, consider getting factory blemished version from direct tools outlet - same lifetime LSA and considerably cheaper

Hi all,

What use cases would you see this impact having over this set:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI...G2nPS3Jz00

I know the the torque is higher (as in, almost double) but I also know the shorty pack hits higher numbers with larger batteries, too. These others seem to fit in much tighter places than is possible with this larger model.

I 'd like to grab OP's combo kit in the deal, but I need something other than 8-hr per day lug nut removal… cause, you know, My hobbies don't really include full time lug nut removal fun, Wink

Thanks

It's not the newer model. It's the high torque model. It is sold along side of the smaller mid torque model.

They are releasing the new high torque model in the next couple of months. It hasn't been discontinued.

No. It's an impact wrench. It hammers off nuts.
