I own this set and it is complete garbage. It's cheap and rusts after first wash. Avoid.

My mom purchased this set. The handles bent inward and the knives rusted in little specks.

Anyone have a recommendation for a good knife block? I need a new one that won't rust my knives

Same here. Though for 20 bucks, I can handle a little rust on an otherwise decent set. You won't be passing it on to your kids but it will cut meat for a few years.

If just for the knives alone, honestly the colored cuisinart knives that pop up frequently for $10-$12 are better. These go to junk faster than any "deal" knives ive ever owned.

We own this set too and totally agree. Cannot put in dishwasher or it will rust.

I also have these and no issues. However I don't have a dishwasher and I dry them after washing.

Yep just dry them and you'll be fine.

Quality of these kinds of tools and utensils have gone down significantly in the past 20 years. We still a have knife set from the late 90s. Back then, it felt like things were built to last. Today it's all about banking $$$$ off the name/brand and outsourcing manufacturing to some other country for cheap.

Oo, don't ever put your knives in the dishwasher
The heat with slow cooling in addition to the soap and slow drying will dull your blades

I have been using these knives for almost 4 years now. Sharpen with worksharp tools, handwash and wipe dry after use. They all still work as my main knives in the kitchen. Granted I'm not a professional chef and only cook every other day Smilie
