Hello, y'all. I am back, with another Sofirn promo code. This time, for a high-quality lantern light. This BLF LT1 Lantern is very popular amongst flashlight enthusiasts and if you like to go camping, it is definitely something that would be nice to have in your tent, while out in the woods. This lantern is also something that could be very helpful, if you live in an area that suffers from frequent power outages.

The normal Amazon price is $85, but it is available at a price of $63.25, using Promo Code 25MTQ5JB at checkout.

For some important details about this lantern, on the brightest output setting (700-800 lumens), it runs for about 6 to 7 hours. In mid-range brightness mode, it can run for over 24 hours. And on the lowest output setting (5 lumens), it can actually produce a small amount of light for over a month; yes, literally, over 30 days. The 5 lumens output is not a lot of light, but it's a light source that can actually work, on a single charge, for over 30 days. Keep in mind that this isn't a flashlight that you can use to shine and light up objects that are hundreds of feet away; it's actually a lantern and is to be used to light up the immediate area around you. However, as I mentioned, it is a nice, reliable, useful lantern light to have, especially, if you're going camping or if you find yourself at home without electricity.

This light has built-in USB-C charging and it includes four (4) 18650, 3000mAh lithium-ion batteries and a USB-A-to-USB-C charging cable. Another cool feature is that this lantern light can actually be used without batteries, by just plugging in a USB-C cable and powering it from an external power source (like a portable power bank charger or a wall charger that's plugged in to a house's wall outlet). This lantern's light output can also be switched between warm white (2700K) and neutral white (5000K) to meet your different usage scenarios. And, I should also mention that this LT1 Lantern actually functions as a power bank/portable charger, that can be used to charge your cell phone or other USB-powered devices. Meaning, yes, you can actually use this lantern to charge your cellphone, if you'd like to.

The package includes: LT1 lantern, 4* 18650 batteries, USB-C charging cable, spare O-ring, manual and includes Sofirn's useful customer service.

Use Promo Code 25MTQ5JB for 25% off at checkout, to bring the price down to $63.25..

As usual, I'm sorry for getting carried away and including so many details; but, my OCD usually makes it difficult for me to not be overly thorough. However, I would also like to reiterate that this is another high-quality light and it is a wise investment that you can get usage out of, literally, for several years to come. It's also a great gift idea, for someone who could use a badass lantern, that also can be used as a portable charger/power bank.

By the way, I wanted to say, thank you very much, for all of the upvotes and positive feedback/comments that my last Sofirn deal post got. It was very encouraging, for sure, and I really appreciated it. If anyone has any constructive criticism or helpful advice/suggestions about how I can make my deal post better, or if anyone would like to share any additional helpful information, that would be genuinely appreciated. Thanks!

BillyJackAz -I have a question about this light. Can you tell me if it has any "vampire" power draw when turned off? I ask because I already own a similarly designed "soup can" throwing light (4X18650 with three emitters and reflector) that apparently draws a small current from the batteries even when off. I have been using it as an emergency light source during power outages by tail standing it and reflecting the light off the ceiling but have found that it drains batteries to the low voltage cut-off over several weeks of no use. Consequently, I have to keep the two halves of the light unscrewed to prevent the batteries from making contact until I am ready to use it. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Unfortunately, I am not that familiar with this light, so I don't know the answer that question. However, I know that is something of a common issue with many flashlights, nowadays (I think it's called "parasitic drain". I know that a common/simple solution is, to do what you did, by partially unscrewing the tail cap from the body of the flashlight, so that the batteries aren't connecting to the head of the light. I realize that it's something of an inconvenience and an annoyance, though, so it's definitely better to have a flashlight that doesn't have that issue. Also, many recent flashlights actually have a "lockout" feature, which prevents the light from being able to be turned on, while in "lockout mode", and that may prevent the possibility of there being any parasitic drain (but, I'm not certain of this).

I'm sorry for not knowing the answer to your question now, but I'll see if I can get you a definitive answer for you.

Hey, thanks for posting, I upvoted because it's a very nice lantern. Even if you're OCD you should try to keep things a bit more concise. Your intentions are good, but those who want all the details will click through to the product descriptions and reviews.
I mean if you have personal experience and opinions, by all means share them, but collecting them online and putting them all into your OP makes it sound just slightly spammy. Wink

I am not sure either of the parasitic draw, but giving that thing a quarter turn before storing it is so easy that I am just doing it anyway, whether it is exactly necessary or not.

If you have time to wait, order from Aliexpress [aliexpress.com]or Sofirn directly for a few bucks cheaper (and no tax).

Parasitic drain does exists with this light. Additionally, the LED in the side switch draws a bit of power. You can turn the switch LED off with 6 clicks. To prevent parasitic drain, you can simply twist counter clockwise a tad and it should be sufficient. To test, try to turn the light on.

This is a good price for the latest version of the LT1, with Anduril 2.0 and power bank capability.

During the 11.11 sale, it was $68 after discount on Amazon, so this price actually beats it.

For that sale, it was a couple bucks cheaper on Aliexpress (all in, with discounts, coupons, and tax), and also roughly the same price on Sofirn's site with the 15% code.

In any case, we're talking about a +/- $5 swing versus the last sale, without considering the other factors like shipping times and return policies that vary according to the outlet.

Neither Sofirn's AX store, nor its direct store can match Prime's delivery time for those who have it, even from Sofirn's California warehouse option. Not to mention the simple returns and extended holiday period now in effect.

Only sort of gotcha is for those who don't want the black color, because Sofirn prices the colored versions a couple bucks higher, and has two Amazon stores, one stocking the black and the other the orange/green colors, with separate pricing and discounts.

As far as the lantern itself, it is a high price to pay, but it's a quality product. One wish would be for it to have a red light option that won't affect night vision, but that is planned for a future version.

Otherwise, there is very little middle ground in terms of lanterns. Pay the price for something like this, a rechargeable lantern from a reputable manufacturer, or settle for the cheap plastic lanterns that suck up alkaline batteries without producing the same amount of light, or the same quality of light.

Hope this helps someone before SD nukes this thread, like they've done with other Sofirn threads.

probably does considering that on my light the button is always illuminated by a faint green light. probably does almost nothing in terms of affecting battery life.

i just got my first soften light and it is bright as hell. i opted for the lower 5000 lumen model and i cant believe im saying this but it is too bright. when camping it might annoy the hell out of other campers when at full power.

Just twist the lantern cap open a bit when storing and it should not drain much. I have it. It's a great light addition.
