Wow thumbs down for a decent SSD that is PCI-E 4.0 for less than $100, SD it is like I do not know you anymore.
1. BF in title is not so obvious that it is NOT live yet
2. The Egg had been selling these full price part of their shuffle. Really leaves a bad taste.
3. MIR?!? Seriously?
4. Bad return policy
The SSD measures 80mm length, 22mm width, and 2.15mm height. It is a double-sided SSD, so keep this in mind when installing into laptops, make sure you have clearance.
Even without the MIR, this is a solid deal for a PCIe 4.0 1TB drive. Should work with PS5 with no perceived differences vs PS5's 5500mb/s requirement.
This is the msi 470 with a read of 5000 . Also you will need to add a heatsink. you can use slower drives and will only be noticeable in heavy ssd writes. In the future though when games take more advantage over the capabilities, this will be slow. That could be 2 or more years away though. https://www.theverge.com/2021/8/4...ystation-5

PS5 SSD requirement is on the read side of things, primarily for game loads. This drive's 5000 is only 10% slower than the PS5 requirement of 5500. That's not perceivable in almost any circumstance today or in the future.
