By itself, this product only provides REAL TIME video. You have to pay a subscription if you want video recording which is a minimum of $3/month ($30/year) for one device and videos are only stored for 60 days.

If you want a doorbell camera that does local video recording, there is the Laview doorbell camera that sells for $99. The night time quality is really bad (you have to leave the porch light on) and it seems the manufacturer provides no support but it uses an sd card to store files.

Question guys, i have ring PRO at front door, was thinking to get this one, wired together with the pro and install at the back door, kinda as camera only, $40 outdoor camera. What do u guys think? I live in townhome (chicago) back door goes to the alley, amd was looking for camera, but this may work as a camera. I have ring subscription for $100/year,

Yes you can wire for power and it should work but no ring on mechanical chime

That is how I have it set up. Serves dual purpose: cam & bell. Took advantage of existing low voltage wiring. Consolidate doorbell management.

it says wired? so what does it work with? I have a mechanical chime and I used Skybell so far, but I don't really like how slow it gets to show me my front door when I requested it. Thinking of moving to another brand that provides better experience.
