No, the 8 series is now the 8K TVs and review outlets show it has major advantages over the 6 series not just being 8K over the 4K. Reviews have been great on both series though. I'd be happy with either.

It's different from what FOMO channel was saying with black crushing on r646 than the more balanced less aggressive picture of r635
He was stating that r646 needs more calibration out of the box
this is not entirely true. the 646 has many differences check rtings.
TCL is more reliable than Hisense. It's been around for longer in the us selling TVs and makes more TVs. I think that has some weight
