I've seen this deal get talked about but it never got its own thread. I searched with multiple terms and didn't see this one get posted. If you missed the other deals that are now expired, you can still get in on this one. For those that want a mic and audio interface, this includes an XLR cable and HPS5000 headphones for $11 more than the now expired deals for the UM2 and C1 ($19 each).

Looks like I need to add a desktop stand to hold the mic? Yes? Anything else I might need to connect to a PC?

Try OBS Studio, my son uses it and also edits himself. Little cumbersome to learn advanced settings but as 9 yo he gets it. Easy to use as there are lots of YouTube tutorials on it also.
If it's from a console than some kind of a capture card, I used a Dazzle as a preteen, then a Hauppauge before moving to an Elgato. I'd recommend something like a secondhand Hauppauge that can record in 1080p/30. If they actually are into the idea for a while you can upgrade starting with microphone then video, because bad audio tends to hurt a channel more than bad video.
If they're recording PC games, a controller is a good idea since it gets rid of the keyboard clicks, and you would only need OBS unless it's a game where high FPS is necessary.
