The whole ordeal turns out to be a 2-month long hassle. After multiple emails and phone calls, no one seems to know what's going on or how long it will take. Just cookie cutter responses and "we apologize for the delay".
Finally received the unit in mid-March. No email updates or tracking number after the order was shipped and luckily I was home to sign for the delivery.

Also charges 15% restocking fee if they do take the return.
I'll wait and see if any deals pop up for Black Friday.
I would give this company zero stars if I could. I preordered an iMac 2021 model for $1700. This is a really big purchase for me, and I saved a LONG time to be able to afford to purchase this. After ordering I was informed that they consider this to be a special order and that it will take 4-6 weeks from the date of the order to ship. I am currently sitting at a couple days shy of EIGHT weeks. When I ask about a shipping timeframe I get told that they have no idea, that it is fulfilled by Apple. So I ask if there is someone there that I can contact to get an ETA - and am told that they don't have that information. Really? You ONLY sell Apple products but you don't have a contact at Apple? Finally got ahold of someone at the corporate level who AGAIN tells me that they have no idea when my computer will ship, but that if I want to cancel my order and be refunded to email them at a certain email address - and now they are ignoring me. I have no money, no computer, no answers. I am getting ready to file fraud charges soon if I cannot get a response from them.
EDIT: Computer FINALLY arrived this past week. No updates to the tracking happened along the way, so it was sheer luck that I was home to accept delivery. DHL apparently contracts out for drivers, gentleman who delivered was nice enough, but was quite elderly and nearly dropped the computer getting it out of the back of his car.... SIGH...just an absolutely awful experience from start to finish, but at least I did get my computer.

All four models are cheaper with this deal compared to the Apple EDU store. Thumbs up, thanks OP.

When you are spending > $3000, buy it from THE store.

Mac Pro is not the same as MacBook Pro. You can get a full refund if it is unopened, arrived DOA, or damaged in transit.
Actual return policy:
14 days from original purchase date. All returns must include original packaging and peripherals that were shipped with the original order. Only items that arrive DOA, damaged in transit, or still unopened are eligible for a full refund within 14 days. Simply Mac reserves the right to test any DOA return and impose a 15% restocking fee if the item arrives in a misrepresented condition.

They also state 15% restocking fee for non-DOA items that are returned. I'd like to see if one of the other stores will have a similar deal with a better return policy
Your original post and this one are both not entirely accurate, so please change. As I already stated, you can get a full refund if the item is unopened, arrived DOA, or damaged during transit. I agree the return policy is not great, but your posts are misleading.
