Edit: just saw the video demo. Cancelled my order. I don't need an attachment to my drill to vacuum the dust. Lol
milwaukee goes by the date code of manufacture and you do not "register" tools with Milwaukee. they just have a warranty
a receipt is nice to have but not needed
and how do you know its discontinued? it is still under active products on Milwaukees site

It has been listed as discontinued with authorized retailers for a little while now. Yes, milwaukee will go by manufacturer date for this, but considering it's price and it being discontinued, it's safe to say these are probably new old stock and you want have the benefit if going by the purchase date like an authorized dealer. If I needed one, I'd be all over this and check it out thoroughly out of the box, but this came 2 months after I had to drill 500 holes in concrete...
