no gpu = no system upgrade needed.
PS gpu is main reason to upgrade systems.
until gpu prices return to normal all other parts are not needed.
tell manufacturers and crypto miners to normalize prices else call diy computers pointless
Just bought 12600k, and z690.
I'm not a gamer, what's 'normal' for an avg user? Considering some type of upgrade from processor gpu some time in future

Tell oil companies to stop global warming while your at it.
It's every man for themselves, this is why we killed the earth in 100 years.
What will be interesting is the B2 stepping plus 3d cache amd chips coming out. You know the key engineer who gaslighted zen is who braught us the thunderbird oc monsters and x64 which still to this day is amd the license holder.

up to you.
GPU comparable to the system you bought is at least a crypto gpu that mines at 30+ mhashes.
like my rx580.
I have no need to buy a new gpu for another 10 years considering they priced new gpus with same performance and better at 1000-2000+.
you need at least a 3060+ ti gpu to even justify this motherboard upgrade that would be another 800-1000 at current prices when it performs about the same as my rx580 which I bought for 200 dollars 5 years ago.
ideally with the same components you'd go for a 3080 but that costs about 1500 dollars.
given 5 years ago you'd get the same performance for 75% less cost.
prices are 3x higher than when they were priced reasonably.
you understand why amd is beating Intel hand over fist? its not the cpu market.
guess.
lmao.
nvidia also capitalizing on it as well btw.
so it's pointless upgrading now as it is pointless buying a new car or used car unless you need it.
do you need your computer? no then delay.
do not bother fighting the crypto miners just let them have it and if you get lucky at msrp buy one. then buy other parts.
PS only real reason to upgrade a computer today is for gpu unless you have broken parts or 10 yr old computer.
do not intend to upgrade computer for another 5-10 years considering gpu cost.

Well my 4930K custom build is getting pretty old and hitting 100% cpu usage more and more these days so finally figured i'd get new 12gen intel cpu and this is one of cheapest mobos out there atm.

look up yours I did it is about 700-800 score vs this which is about 2000-2200 performance
about 2.5x boost.
its ok.
2900 is max score with i9
I already got my I5-12600K and this mobo coming next week can't wait to replace my 4930K ,which I got running @4.5Ghz OC too, and I'm sure it'll be noticeably faster!
Going from 181 fastest CPU to 6th fastest can't wait! https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Com...1976vs4120
