It works great, I'm running a 5900X on the plus version currently and getting rock solid 4.7 all core /5.0+ single core clocks.
i wish it had three nvme's myself. but other than that and the asus software i've been happy for what it's worth. also have an old 470 board and it runs that cpu too though. Most of the "good" and better 570/470 boards are all more than capable once you get around the 200 level of doing what you need. with these what you want is it make sure it's official supported in the bios, and has reasonable features, and stuff like pbo.
I'd also take a look to see if you can get an X570s though right before you buy. Just to avoid the fan stuff. last i looked though it was something like 100 more. Not worth it at all. So this is the board i got personally myself. warranty is 3 years. by then you can deal with the fan issue should it fail any number of ways. In my case i'll put a copper heat sink on it. it's like 15 watts it needs to dissipate. It's like an NVME in that regard kind of strange cost cutting measure really. Probably location based and keeping things maximumly compatible which is why these all had fans. I digress.
you'll be happy it's a really good board. o and the bios is convenient too. it's why i left msi. I'm personally a fan of the asus bios (that's a taste thing of course).
incidentally i'm running windows 11 using the chips tpm. maybe some one would want to know that too.
For anyone thinking of this go to Asus.com check the site for this board and compatibility sheet. You also probably want to consider if you have ddr4 already if ti's on the qvl. not necessarily a deal breaking but all things consider if a different board has support for the memory you already have might be worth considering. In 5900x the memory controllers are much better it's less of an issue these days. If you don't have memory i'd lead toward something on the qvl (of any board).
