I don't have one, but I've been looking for something to digitize mounds of photos. This model frequently gets listed among or at the top of the list of models that are good. Very well reviewed.

I use this for my business. It is fast and effective. But there are some things to know. First of all, the software does not integrate color restoration easily. It will only give you two versions of a scan: a (not restored) and b (restored). Which is a pain in the butt if you only want one version. Therefore, it works best with more recent photos (1990 and on) where you can turn off the restoration and just get one version. Older photos also leave dirt, glue and residue. Which can show up as lines on the scan. So you will have to clean the scanner fairly regularly (and it's not clear where you need to clean) Beyond that, it will recognize photos scanned together and stop. It will straighten photos not fed into the scanner perfectly. And no flatbed can compare to how quick it does it's job.

Scanners are not complex devices. Seems overpriced by about $429 in my opinion.

I purchased it yesterday on Amazon for $499.99. I'm not sure why they raised the price today. I can't comment on quality because I have not received it yet .
